TelGas™ - Land Reclaimation [Client Case Study]

Removal of toxic waste from landfill site

UKAEA’s Harwell site – Mowlem required a highly customised and reliable solution to monitor harmful gases during the removal of contaminated waste from the Harwell site.

Toxic waste buried in pits on a western storage area at Harwell, had to be removed safely. In order to ensure the safety of personnel and all people in the vicinity, toxic gas levels had to be continuously monitored and their values recorded and archived.

A TelGas Net system fitted with dual redundant server was supplied to perform this task. In additition to multiple mimic displays connected to the site LAN, both Mowlem and the UKAEA were able to access mimic displays and information remotely
